Technology Blog #1: Predictive Ordering in the Hospitality Industry
Hello everyone! This is Randi, welcome to my very first blog posting! Today I will be take a dive into the Hospitality Industry. I am onto my fifth year of studying Hospitality. I aspire to be a wedding planner in the future. To take me on the course of getting to my desired position, I have the position of a Special Events Coordinator for Caesars Entertainment. This job allows me to get real life experience planning, executing, and reviewing events start to finish. From my schooling and my career I am continuously learning about my industry and would love for others to be informed about it as well since it places such a big part in our lives.
For those who do not know, Hospitality encompasses Travel and Tourism, Food and Beverage, Outdoor and Recreation, and the Lodging Industry. With that being said we can see how diverse this industry is and the significant role it pays.
We are going to discuss the topic of predictive ordering which is the latest technology trend for Hospitality in 2024. Utilizing artificial intelligence the predictive ordering can forecast the customer demand and generate automated orders for hotels, restaurants, and other businesses. With the use of this technology it can lead to reduced food waste, improved inventory management, increased profitability, and an enhanced customer experience by ensuring that all necessary supplies will always be available.
