Using Tools to Support Connected Learning
A quote from Chapter 5 that I thought was meaningful and important to remember was, "Technology as an enabler of leaning and of creating connections, the Internet has revealed that large fields of knowledge are given value when connected. Technology in communities is essentially just a means of creating fluidity between knowledge segments and connecting people" (George Siemens).

You can manage your online reputation by proactively building your digital footprint.You want all things attached to your name to be in positive light. I am always considering this when posting on any platform, I like to think that what I am posting will be seen by my employer and if I am not comfortable with them seeing it then maybe I should not be posting it. This was a great chapter learning the tools for documenting and archiving learning, connecting and collaborating, social networking, extending learning in the classroom, and managing your online reputation. Hi, I really enjoyed your reflection on the use of digital tools in the context of connected learning. Especially the consideration that one's digital footprint is incredibly relevant in today's digital age as it could really effect someone negatively.
